DIVERSITY, EQUITY,
and INCLUSION

We are committed to the continuous improvement of our practices and understanding to increase equity in our recruiting processes. This includes the use of quantitative assessments, bias training, and use of tools designed to increase inclusion and reduce bias in the selection process. We regularly and routinely seek out ways to improve our recruiting practices and invest in the learning of talented recruiters.

Diversity Recruiting & Inclusion Best Practices

At Emerge Talent, we connect people from an extraordinarily diverse range of backgrounds and locations. Workplace diversity is not a one-size-fits all approach and we acknowledge that each workplace has different needs related to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). A strong commitment to inclusive and equitable recruiting and hiring practices is essential to grow a diverse workforce that reflects the societies where your business operates and the customers you serve.

We deliver inclusive and equitable recruiting practices through processes designed to eliminate both structural and implicit bias, and take pride in providing our clients with high-quality, diverse candidate pools. We know the value that diversity of background, identity, ability, skill and experience brings to the workforce and enjoy collaborating with our clients to meet their talent needs.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Best Practice in Recruitment

We acknowledge that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) must be core to the talent acquisition process. Growing diversity in your organization, at all levels, starts with how you attract, select and hire candidates. We’re committed to helping you meet your talent needs through equitable and inclusive recruiting practices that result in exceptional, highly qualified hires. When working with Emerge Talent you can expect:

Inclusive Job Postings

We work with our clients to regularly audit job postings to ensure the language used in job descriptions is inclusive and free from implicit bias. The use of inclusive language in your job postings immediately broadens candidate attraction and focuses on desired skills, generating a highly qualified candidate pool.

Candidate Sourcing

Our skills-based approach to candidate sourcing allows Emerge recruiters to leverage our vast network of relationships, industry and identity groups to deliver highly qualified, diverse, candidate pools to our clients. We seek candidates that diversify the backgrounds, experiences, education, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation and ability of the teams we work with.

Resume Sourcing and Skill Matching

We aim to remove bias from the resume-sourcing process through the use of artificial intelligence technology in ATS and online sourcing tools whenever possible by requesting these platforms to filter for specific skills and experience and let the AI technology analyze candidate resumes for those parameters. This tactic provides us with a completely impartial shortlist, free from any sort of bias.

Combating Selection and Decision Bias

Growing diversity in your organization, at all levels, starts with how you attract, select and hire candidates. We are committed to supporting an inclusive, equitable experience at each step in the recruiting process. In addition to providing highly qualified, diverse candidate pools, our team of recruiters will help advise on ways to combat bias in your interview, selection and decision process.
